About the event
Amy Thompson is a Social Economist at Citi. She produces Citi’s though leadership on social issues, which has recently included Citi GPS reports on Economic and Social Mobility and Philanthropy and the Global Economy. She joined Citi in 2020 on the Markets graduate program, where she gained experience with Citi’s sales, trading and structuring teams. She took an unconventional route into finance - she holds a BA in Classics and a BPhil in Philosophy, both from the University of Oxford, where she remains a part-time doctoral student working towards a DPhil in Politics..
This session will explore how to navigate routes into banking and finance, the spectrum of roles available within the industry, and what sort of skills are needed for each of them. The majority of the session will be given to Q&A, so please bring ideas about what you would like to know - there are no silly questions!
